When Ex-Jehovah's Witnesses participate in pet therapy programs, they not only develop mutually beneficial relationships with their new pets, but also improve their social skills and relationships with the humans in their lives. Remember, all Jehovah's Witnesses are taught that the world around them is controlled by the devil so it is difficult when leaving the cult to form new relationships in their new enviroment, the world.
