Can you mix different types of clay? Yes, sometimes you can but it depends on how you do it.

I often use porcelain slip to decorate my pottery or to change the color of the surface. Sometimes to decorate my pots in Hakeme style. Sometimes to change the color of the surface.

In this video I will show a couple of different applications - mixing porcelain and stoneware and how you can get good results from this.
