This time, we've got 2 games in the genre focusing on customizing wands and being a chicken. Machick 2 is a wonderfully colorful romp with massive amounts of run variety centered around trying lots of builds and seeing what happens. It's got a ton of stuff to unlock and a lovely cartoon style, plus some great music. With the sheer amount of content, it easily lands itself in the "must try" box, especially for only $7. Wandness is a less successful take on the concept with interesting ideas about using Magicraft-style mechanics. Unfortunately, it fell short for me, with a lack of variety and a constant feeling of being incredibly weak. You'll be circle-strafing levels full of unkillable enemies in 1-minute bursts and then move on to do the same thing again until the game says you won. Unsatisfying and very poorly balanced to the point of feeling rather pointless, I can't recommend this one.
