If you are self-employed like us, then you know that being self-employed is A LOT of hard work! All that hard work means you deserve to be able to live in that house of your dreams.

That meant A LOT of work plodding through tax returns and financial statements and even after all that paperwork, your likelihood of being denied was high.

But now they have made it easier by accepting your self-employed salary as income. So, if you have been getting a regular salary from your business, you can use that to apply for a home loan. Instead of a mountain of paperwork, you only need to submit any one of these three things.

Proof of your six month salary credited to a bank account
A payslip showing more than six months of Year-to-Date income or,
If you have less than six months YTD income then you submit your payslip plus a Pay As You Go payment summary or tax return for the most recent financial year.

Remember, you are only submitting ONE of these three things. Whichever one you choose should be accompanied by an accountant’s letter on company letterhead with the date your business started operating; a statement saying your salary is regular and continuing plus evidence of enough profit to sustain your business
