Post-match press conference with Manchester United manager Michael Carrick after a 1-1 draw away to West Ham United at London Stadium in the Premier League.

Tomás Soucek put West Ham ahead on 50 minutes, before substitute Benjamin Sesko struck a stunning equaliser in the sixth minute of stoppage time to earn United a point, assisted by Bryan Mbeumo.

Carrick gives an honest “mixed feelings” overview, credits West Ham for closing spaces, and praises Leny Yoro for big 1v1 defending and key blocks late on.

He reflects on United’s balance between control and risk, the frustration of conceding, and the positive of finding a late goal without wanting to rely on it too often.

Carrick also hails Sesko’s quality, insists the finish is no surprise, and discusses Kobbie Mainoo’s impact alongside Casemiro.
