Big Moustache whiskey is made with 80% corn, 10% rye and 10% malted barley. They claim their long fermentation of 3 days makes their whiskey unique. This Tennessee Whiskey is aged for at least 4 years, bottled at 100 proof, and is sourced from Tennessee Distilling Ltd. (Initially we thought it could be George Dickel, however, upon research, we learned that TN Distilling may also do some contract distilling for George Dickel as well).

Deeper research shows that Tennessee Distilling Ltd. is a major contract distiller located in Columbia, Tennessee, specializing in producing, aging, and bottling traditional Tennessee whiskey, bourbon, rye, corn, and malt whiskies for various brand partners. The company provides full-service, customized, and large-scale, private-label spirits production. They produce a variety of labels, ranging from historic Tennessee whiskey brands to small-batch craft spirits. Major labels include George Dickel, Jack Daniel’s, Uncle Nearest, and various craft offerings like Old Tennessee Distilling Co.'s Thunder Road and Butcher’s Bourbon.

The marketing and presentation are awesome with a beautiful matte black bottle & white label donning a cool Medusa-haired, big Moustache'd man on it. But, how is it? Let’s get into it!

👃🏻On the nose: Not off-putting. Dusty corn sweetness. Caramel and vanilla.

👅 On the palate: Sweet. Minerally. Grape Flintstone vitamin note. Vanilla. Dry, astringent. Subtle oak.

🏁 Finish: Kinda "chalky". Some grain funky sweetness. Fairly short; flavors stick around a while, but doesn't warm you in the chest.
