Now I know why I only remember the first level of this as a kid! P.O.W. Prisoners of War has you playing the role of a soldier who was caught by the enemy on purpose so that he could escape and discover their secrets. Standing between you and your goal is an enormous army that's gonna be knocking you on your butt constantly. This game defines quarter muncher of the arcade era. The NES version was thankfully manageable, but this one is just too brutal. Also, for some reason there's no boss fights and little enemy variety. The NES version once again outshines it's more powerful parent game...
