Chaar Sahibzaade were the four noble sons of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of Sikhism and the founder of the Khalsa Panth. Although very young in age, the Sahibzaade demonstrated unmatched courage, spiritual strength, and devotion to righteousness. Guru Gobind Singh Ji married Mata Jito Ji, Mata Sundari Ji, and Mata Sahib Devan Ji. From these marriages, he was blessed with four sons, known collectively as the Chaar Sahibzaade.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Ji was a brave warrior and natural leader. During the Mughal siege at Chamkaur Sahib in 1704, he requested his father’s permission to enter the battlefield. Leading a small group of Sikhs, he fought fearlessly against thousands of Mughal soldiers and attained martyrdom with honor.

Born: 1691
Age at Martyrdom: 14 years
Inspired by his elder brother’s sacrifice, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh Ji also sought permission to fight. Despite his young age, he fought like a seasoned warrior and laid down his life in the Battle of Chamkaur. His sacrifice proved that courage has no age.

The children were presented before Wazir Khan, the Mughal governor of Sirhind.
They were offered wealth and royal status
They were threatened with death
They were pressured to convert to Islam
Despite being only 7 and 9 years old, the Sahibzaade refused to abandon their Sikh faith.

They were bricked alive inside a wall
When the wall collapsed, they were executed
Mata Gujri Ji attained martyrdom upon hearing the news
