Mirrorless cameras can make using old lenses easy and nearly automated using inexpensive adapters. This video gives the basics for getting started. The camera used in this video is an Olympus PEN E-PM1 which I purchased used for $84.

Depending on the physical dimensions of the senor in the camera, the angle of view of the lens can be different than its original intended format. For example, a 50mm lens on a micro four thirds camera will have an angle of view similar to a 100mm on a 35mm film camera (or full frame digital camera).
