Are you looking for a HomeKit security system that can trigger an alarm to an Airplay 2 capable speaker? Well, I've figured out a way to incorporate all HomeKit compatible devices such as motion detectors, smart locks, door sensors and garage openers to trigger an alarm automation.

Whether you have an Aqara hub, a Homebridge security plugin, or any other HomeKit security device, you will be able to set this up.

Don't have a security device? You can easily run this automation with multiple smart plugs.

If you want to take this automation a step further, you can incorporate geo location into it so when you leave, your HomeKit security system will set to away mode and when you arrive home it will switch to home or off mode.

This automation is made possible in conjunction with the Eve app. I've provided step-by-step instructions to complete the setup.

Here are the steps listed out:
1. Open HomeKit
2. Add a scene
3. Add accessories to be set off when triggered
4. Select an Airplay 2 speaker's audio
5. Search for alarm sound effects
6. Select a desired tone
7. Click repeat and set the volume to max
8. Open Eve app
9. Go to automations
10. Add a rule
11. Select accessories you want to trigger
12. Add a value
13. Set your security device to "away" arm
14. Select the created scene from earlier
15. Name your rule

Repeat steps to set up "home" mode and "night" mode.

If you do not have a security device, then follow the same steps except instead of setting your security device to "away" arm, have it set to when your smart plug turns on.
