A fantastic trip to Aranmore Island, the largest inhabited island off the Donegal coast. Ferries run frequently throughout the day and cost €15. Walked around much of the coast of the island, including the rugged and dramatic western coastline which has been shaped by the power of the Atlantic. Wild camped at the Northern tip of the island with amazing views of the sun setting over the Atlantic.

A car can be brought over to the island and there is a road that provides ready access to most of the island, including the lighthouse at the Northern end. A way marked walk uses the roads to circle the island.
