We are in Springfield, IL along the famous Route 66! Our RV park is literally on the original roadway!! This is so exciting as we have always wanted to drive this roadway… but today we are just getting a little taste.

We will visit some of the highlights of the ‘Mother Road’ through the capital of Illinois:

**Motorheads Bar & Grill
**Route 66 Sign Museum (waaaay cooler than you think!!)
**Home of Abraham Lincoln
**Obed & Isaacs Microbrewery (located in a historic building)
**Route 66 Experience (at State Fair Grounds)

This gave us a great example of what all Historic Route 66 has to offer. This makes us even more excited to drive the entire road one day!!
