Each piece of equipment (horn, mouthpiece, etc) makes me feel a different way, giving me access to different ideas. Here is another take on Cherokee, this time with my usual trumpet mouthpiece, the Denis Wick Heavytop model. Maybe the next post will be a side-by-side comparison between the Heritage and this one with several different play tests and a proper microphone (not just the phone mic) so you can hear the tone difference in different playing situations...
