‘A scam’: Historian Timothy Snyder on Trump’s disingenuous distancing from Project 2025

While Trump disavows Project 2025 on stage, his own policy plan, Agenda 47, overlaps with its most extreme tenets. Yale history professor and author Timothy Snyder says that the purging of civil servants from the government, a policy pushed by both Trump and Project 2025, is the first step to establishing “the cult of the leader.”
