This is a video walking tour of the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln, Nebraska. Constructed from 1922-1932, the building is made of Indiana limestone. The capitol is 400 feet tall and contains 15 floors, making it the second-tallest U.S. statehouse (behind Louisiana). It is also the third tallest building in Nebraska. The 19.5-foot finial atop the capitol's gold-tiled dome (The Sower) completes the vertical movement of the exterior symbolism representing agriculture and the "chief purpose in forming society, to sow nobler ideas of living."
