TAMIYA WILD WILLY 2 - Building the Legendary ..30 years later

30 years later... i got it! When i was a kid i was standing infront of local hobby store staring those beautiful looking box art contain all those R/C kit goodies; the WILD WILLY....and seeing my uncle playing with it wheelie around the yard make me so tempted to get it one day. Years back into present time here i am holding it what was once my childhood nostalgia. The original TAMIYA: WILD WILLY was first release in 1982 was most iconic and recognizable R/C model in the 80's and in 1999 it was re-released with new WR-02 chassis added with bigger wheels. Today first generation WILD WILLY is hard to come by but if it does this vintage legend fetch at high prices even in bad shape due to its collectible value, the other affordable alternative is to get the second generation. Having so many Radio Control models and other collection thoughout my life till today the WILD WILLY is definately my precious prize because it hold memory and links to my sweet nostagic childhood memory from the past....that matters me the most. And for those old 80's Radio Control enthusiast the WILD WILLY is the symbol of R/C revolution and pride. Hey! it still most coolest scale classic looking R/C model today. In this video will show my happy moment building WILD WILLY 2 from kit to complete build. Took many hours of assembly, hand painting, air brushing, sticker cutting and electronics assembly. This is what people used to do during the R/C modelling days in the 80's unlike today R/C where everything was ready to run out of the box. Re-lived the past by building R/C models is awesome!, makes me more appreciate all the work i put in into this model.
