The shift to zero-emission public transport in Europe is gaining momentum, driven by regulations, green financing, and innovative business models. At Busworld Europe 2025 in Brussels (4–9 October), E-GAP showcased its Fleet-as-a-Service (FaaS) model, a turnkey solution that covers every step of fleet electrification.

Unlike partial approaches that focus only on vehicles or charging infrastructure, E-GAP offers an integrated ecosystem: electric buses, depot electrification, mobile charging, digital services, financing, and battery lifecycle management. Operators access the service via a flexible monthly fee, with no upfront investment, while E-GAP assumes operational risk and ensures asset performance.

E-GAP’s first Italian FaaS project in Rome demonstrates the model’s technical and financial viability, supplying over 250 electric buses and 100+ high-power charging points, all powered by certified renewable energy. The project, backed by an investment of approximately €100 million, provides a modular turnkey solution that integrates vehicles, charging, maintenance, and intelligent fleet management, reducing costs and meeting ESG requirements.
