The film, directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, was unveiled on Indian Air Force Day. It promises an action-packed experience, scheduled for release on October 27.

"Tejas" delves into the extraordinary journey of Tejas Gill, an Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot, aiming to inspire and instill pride in every Indian. The movie portrays the unwavering dedication and challenges faced by IAF pilots in their tireless defense of the nation.

Touted as "India's first aerial action movie," the trailer opens with intense combat scenes featuring IAF fighter jets. It's revealed that an Indian spy is captured in Pakistan, prompting Kangana's character to volunteer for a daring rescue mission. Her resolve is unwavering as she encounters one obstacle after another. She declares, "Every time, dialogue cannot be the solution. Sometimes, you need to fight it out with your enemy on the battlefield."

Kangana Ranaut shared the trailer with a powerful message, "Ab aasman se dushman pe waar hoga, ab jung ka elaan hoga! Ye woh Bharat hai, jisko chhedoge toh woh chhodega nahi" (Now the enemy will be attacked from the sky, this is that Bharat that will not leave you if you touch it)!

"Tejas" has been in development for several years, originally slated for release in December 2020. The IAF was the first of India's defense forces to integrate women into combat roles, and the film is set in 2016, highlighting this historic decision. It centers around a courageous female fighter pilot.

Kangana Ranaut, who takes on the lead role, dedicated four months to rigorous training to master the specialized combat techniques of the Indian forces. This marks her first portrayal of a soldier on the silver screen.
