Malai Ladoo Recipe - The ultimate melt-in-mouth Indian sweet made easy in your own kitchen. This homestyle recipe is perfect for Diwali, Rakhi, Eid, or any festive occasion. No complex ingredients, just pure, creamy bliss.
INGREDIENTS:
• Whole Cream Milk 1.5 liter
• Lemon Juice around 30-40 ml (as per need)
• Sugar 100 gm (Adjust as per taste)
• Heavy Cream / Whipping Cream 50 gm
• Cardamom Powder ½ tsp
• Kewra Water 1 tbsp (30 ml)
• For Garnishing: Chopped Pistachios, pinch of saffron strands in 1 tsp of milk.
Method:
Boil one liter of milk in a pot and add lemon juice till milk is curded. Strain the entire content though a fine cloth. Wash the milk residue with some cold water and squeeze the milk residue to remove all water. Place this milk residue (Chhena) in a plate and smash it with hands into a fine dough.
-Boil half liter of milk till it’s water is evaporated almost 90%. Add 50 gm of heavy cream in it. Mix it. Add ½ tsp of green cardamom powder. Mix it.
Add 100 gm of Sugar, mix it and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add Milk residues (Chhena) that we prepared in first step to it. Mix it well. Cook it while stirring continuously till content’s stickiness is gone and it is no longer sticking to pot.
Add 1 tsp Kewra water. Mix it and remove entire content to a plate and let it cool down.
While still little hot, Make Laddus as shown in video.
Garnish with Pista, saffron strands as shown in video or as per your liking.
