Even though they've gotten very close twice, Iceland is the only Nordic country that hasn't managed to win yet. Their national final "Söngvakeppnin" has a relatively long tradition: except for a few interruptions by internal picks, it has served as their selection method of choice ever since they debuted in 1986.
