This was a live stream of Dr. Andrew Kim M.D. discussing FDA approved treatment options for Major Depressive Disorder. This will cover a general overview of the most common group of antidepressants prescribed in America: SSRI's and SNRI's (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors and serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors). We won't dive into the neurochemistry about receptors etc, but focus more on practical expectations of when they are appropriate, chances of and timeframes to expect positive results, and potential side effects.
