BMW M4 J-Pipe Upgrade DIY (2015-2021 BMW F82 M4, F80 M3, F83 M4, F87 M2 Comp, CS)

►The air leaving the S55's charge cooler has to make a 180° turn to enter the intake manifold below it. BMW uses a plastic elbow to connect the two, and while it may be acceptable for stock power levels, it quickly becomes a bottleneck for more performance. Replacing the elbow, also called a J-tube, with an aftermarket aluminum piece from Do88 is a great way to solve that.

The OE plastic J-tube is prone to cracking at higher mileage and can be pretty restrictive for airflow. The D088 aluminum piece is far more durable and presents no restrictions. However, it provides two threaded ports in case you'd like to install an IAT sensor or spray nozzle for whatever power additive you want to run.
