Once again, record-breaking rise has been witnessed in the prices of gold and silver. Today, gold reached a new high of Rs 1,09,500 per 10 grams on MCX i.e. Multi Commodity Exchange, while silver is trading at Rs 1,25,999 per kg. But experts predict that gold may soon touch Rs 1,13,000 per 10 grams and silver may touch Rs 1,30,000 per kg. The major factors behind this are the weakness of the US economy and the possibility of a cut in interest rates by the Federal Reserve. But for common people, gold is available a few % more expensive in the retail market than the MCX rate, which includes GST, making charges and local transport cost, i.e. it seems to be going out of the reach of common people.

सोने और चांदी की कीमतों में एक बार फिर से रिकॉर्ड तोड़ तेजी देखने को मिली है। MCX यानी Multi Commodity Exchange पर सोना आज 1,09,500 रुपए प्रति 10 ग्राम के नए हाई पर पहुंच गया, जबकि चांदी 1,25,999 रुपए प्रति किलो पर ट्रेड कर रही है। लेकिन विशेषज्ञों का अनुमान है कि सोना जल्द 1,13,000 रुपए प्रति 10 ग्राम और चांदी 1,30,000 रुपए प्रति किलो तक छू सकती है। इसके पीछे अमेरिकी अर्थव्यवस्था की कमजोरी और फेडरल रिजर्व की ब्याज दरों में कटौती की संभावना बड़े फैक्टर हैं। लेकिन आम लोगों के लिए रिटेल मार्केट में सोना MCX रेट से कुछ % महंगा मिलता है, जिसमें GST, मेकिंग चार्जेस और लोकल ट्रांसपोर्ट कॉस्ट शामिल होते हैं, यानी ये आम लोगों की पहुंच से दूर जाता दिख रहा है।
