The pre tag in HTML is known as the preformatted text tag. It displays the exact text you type inside it. That means HTML normally does not care about extra spaces or line breaks. When you write something in a paragraph tag, HTML will collapse multiple spaces into one space .
Next, we will learn how to use emoji in HTML. Emojis are widely used in websites, blogs, social media pages, and online content. They help express emotions and make the webpage more attractive and friendly. To use emojis in HTML, you do not need any special tag. You can simply copy and paste emojis directly into your HTML code. For example, if you want to show a smile emoji, you can directly paste 🙂 or 😄 inside the HTML document. Another method is using Unicode emoji codes like 😀 which will display the same emoji in the browser. Emojis are supported in almost all devices and browsers nowadays. When designing user-friendly webpages, using emojis in appropriate places can enhance visitor engagement and improve visual appeal.
Another very important topic in today’s tutorial is file path. When you work with images, CSS files, JavaScript files, audio, or video, you must tell the browser where the file is located. The file path is the address of that file. If the path is incorrect, the browser cannot find the file and it will not display properly. There are two types of file paths: relative file path and absolute file path.
Relative file path means the file is in your own project directory. For example, if your HTML file and your image are in the same folder, you just need to write the image name, like this:If the image is inside another folder inside your project, then you write:Absolute file path means you are giving the full URL of the file from the internet, for example:
Understanding file paths is extremely important because if you move files to different folders or upload your website online, correct path structure ensures everything displays correctly.
