Early Season Buck Bait Strategy To Bring Fall Bucks! I have learned that if you can establish buck activity on your property in the early season. Then some of them same bucks can show back up in the fall. When the bucks rely on your bait as a food source during the summer, they leave scent by hitting nearby scrapes, they can also bed close to your bait if you are consistent. They also interact with other deer and trails on your property. I believe these bucks remember all of this when they come looking for does in the fall when the rut kicks off. Even in the early pre rut stages they will lay down sign, rubs and scrapes. The more the bucks use your property, the more familiar they become and the more comfortable they get using it. This is a different way to play the deer hunting game but it can pay off for you if you stick to it!
