Firstly, thank you to all that showed up for the first full test of this thing. Personally for my first 10/12 port Allertor it was a good experience.

Yes, this is the same Allertor from all those White Bear Lake Twp. MN Videos from several years back. Unlike the city, the township sirens were sold at auction and thanks to a swap with a very generous person this siren was allowed to be refurbished and placed back into service, under private ownership & maintenance with a safe future for years to come. Preserving the history of this unit and kind of siren was important as was making sure it continued to be in service.

Blake Byrd did the restoration of the siren along with the assembly of the controls, and his brother Ryan is responsible for the astonishingly shiny yellow paint job. With the aid of the Cumberland Public Utility, SWS and Blake installed the siren in early August 2021. Power was then hooked up a few days later. The siren is located near St. Anthony's church/cemetery on the far south side of town.

For those who are worried they missed their opportunity, fear not. Barron county tests the sirens on the first Monday of the month at 11am, April-October.
