Jeep Wrangler Shift Shaft Seal Replacement

2002 Wrangler (32RH) transmission leak. Could not seem to figure out what was leaking. Thought it was the pan/seal, almost changed it but decided to wrap all the possible spots that could leak with paper towels to verify they were not leaking and dripping down on the pan making it look like that is what was leaking. Turned out to be the shift shaft seal (quite common I am told), part cost less than $2 and took about an hour all and all. This is the spot where the shifter goes into the transmission and it is on the left side of the transmission under the drivers seat.
There is a part you can order to get the seal out a little easier than I did it, it’s $20 and I didn’t want to wait. YMMV
