On April 16, 2012, the anniversary of the Virginia Tech Shooting, 32 victims and survivors of gun violence came to Washington DC to tell their stories to Congress and the American public. They don't want anyone else to have lives shattered in the same way and they have learned how gun violence can be prevented. America's gun policies can be fixed in specific ways and lives will be saved. In 1999, Josh Stepakoff was 6 years old and a camper at the North Granada Hills Jewish Community Center when he was shot by a white supremacist. He was walking into the center after a game of Capture The Flag when he was attacked. One of the guns used by the shooter was purchased illegally from an unlicensed dealer at a gun show in Spokane, Washington.
