Divine saint Neem Karoli Baba (Neeb Karori) Ashram in Kainchi Dham is one of the most revered place in Nainital, Uttarakhand. In Uttarakhand's Kumaon, Kainchi Dham is such a holy place, which is recognized not only in India but also abroad. Kainchi Dham, located about twenty kilometers from Nainital, was established by a famous saint Neem Karoli Baba. This Ashram is also known as Neem Karoli Baba Ashram. Neem Karoli Baba was a great devotee of Lord Hanuman. And after the severe penance of Lord Hanuman, Neem Karoli Baba got many miraculous powers.
During the lifetime of Neem Karoli Baba, two ashrams were built, one is in Vrindavan and the other is Kainchi Dham.
It is said that Neem Karoli Baba came here in 1962 with his friend Poornanand. And he built a Hanuman temple here in 1964, gradually this place became a pilgrimage for the devotees.
This ashram is situated between two hills, and these hills cut each other like scissors. That's why this place was named Kainchi Dham. Kainchi Dham Establishment Day is celebrated here every year on 15th June. In which a big fair is held. This tradition was started by Neem Karoli Baba and is continuing till now.
Neem Karoli Baba performed miracles during his lifetime. Even after death his devotees have experienced many miracles in their life. There is so much recognition of Kainchi Dham that it is said that no devotee leaves empty handed from here. And that's why people of India and abroad have deep faith in Neem Karoli Baba.
