Everyone seems to think that Louis XIV took only 2 (or 3) baths during his entire life, even respectable sources make this claim, but is it true? Or are we just missing some additional context? Understanding hygienic practices in history can be confusing - very often they're weird and different compared to our modern beliefs, but sometimes things can get a bit too weird and it's worth a deeper investigation. So, if you've heard this factoid before, this video is for you.
