There are many different types of mums you'll meet. Every mum and dad is proud of their child's achievements but have you ever come across a Smug Mum? The one who has to trump you, has to have the best kid and the last say? She smiles and quietly judges you, makes little back-handed comments that baffle, belittle or infuriate. Her kid is somehow always a step ahead of yours. First words, first steps, sleeping patterns and even cuteness! There is only so much competitiveness you can take before you feel your blood boiling. Do you want to tell her off, give her a taste of her own medicine? Do you ever fantasise about shouting at her and even slapping the Smug off her face? Well here's a familiar mantra I turn to when confronted with a boastful mum who make you feel bad: KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON. Watch on for the part that explains how understanding this type of mum will bring forgiveness, calm and not let it affect you. Better to laugh about it than cry about it right?
