Welcome back to our Switzerland travel vlog!
Today’s adventure takes us to a museum and several spots around the city center.

We kicked off the day with full of energy—especially Louie, who was beyond excited. But first, coffee is a must. A good cup to start the day? Absolutely worth it… even though it’s quite pricey here.

On our way, we spotted McDonald's—and of course, we had to check the prices. They say you can get a sense of a country’s economy from its McDonald’s menu. Surprisingly, prices in Switzerland are about 20–40% higher than in Australia. Safe to say, living here isn’t cheap.

Next stop: Big Burger, known as one of the best burgers in town. We ordered a few burgers, fries, and salad. The taste? Surprisingly delicious. Nothing overly fancy, but the beef quality was excellent. Definitely recommended.

We then took public transport to the Lindt Home of Chocolate. Unfortunately, tickets were sold out—lesson learned: book online in advance! Even so, we explored the area and buy some chocolates before continuing our journey.

An hour later, we arrived in Basel and evening began to fall. Our first stop was the Tinguely Fountain, a fascinating fountain with moving mechanical sculptures that spray water in playful rhythms.

Nearby, we visited the lively Basel Christmas Market. From browsing famous Swiss Army knives to taking Louie on a fun ride and strolling along Freie Strasse, the festive atmosphere was unforgettable.

The night continued at Münsterplatz, home to the iconic Basler Münster, surrounded by a vibrant market and beautifully city views.

After hours of exploring, hunger kicked in. We found comfort at Siam Delicious, enjoying flavorful Thai dishes that were absolutely worth it—highly recommended!

Finally, after a memorable day, we took the train back to Zurich around 10 PM. Louie was exhausted, but the adventure doesn’t stop here—tomorrow, we’re heading to Lucerne.
