Closing a file is essential to save your work and exit the program. To close a file, follow these steps:
1. Click on the "File" tab.
2. From the drop-down menu, click on "Close" or use the shortcut key Ctrl + W.
3. If you have unsaved changes, Word will prompt you to save the document before closing. Choose the appropriate option.

b) Save a File and Save As File
Saving your work is crucial to ensure you don't lose any progress. To save a file, follow these steps:
1. Click on the "File" tab.
2. From the drop-down menu, click on "Save" or use the shortcut key Ctrl + S.
3. Choose the location where you want to save your file, enter a file name, and click "Save."

Using the "Save As" function allows you to create a copy of your document with a different name or save it in a different file format. To use the Save As function, follow these steps:
1. Click on the "File" tab.
2. From the drop-down menu, click on "Save As."
3. Choose the location where you want to save the file, enter a new file name, select the desired file format, and click "Save."

c) How to Cut, Copy, and Paste
Cut, copy, and paste are fundamental functions in Word that allow you to move or duplicate text within your document or between different documents. To use these functions, follow these steps:
1. Select the text you want to cut or copy by clicking and dragging the cursor over it.
2. To cut the selected text, use the shortcut key Ctrl + X or right-click and choose "Cut" from the context menu.

1. Select the text you want to align or place the cursor where you want to start typing with the desired alignment.
