I work in Vacker Global and we are based in Dubai UAE, Today we are going to talk about the gas carbon monoxide, its reasons of presence, the way to sense it, the way to monitor it and the way to control it. So, First of all, i will tell you why this carbon monoxide gas is present in our environment. It's due to the combustion of fuels which is generated by vehicle emission, or say by the generator or say by manufacturing of industrial equipment. So this is the device which is from Canada, it's a Greystone, and it is carbon monoxide sensing device

This unit has a special type of Electrochemical sensor which
Senses the presence of carbon monoxide in the air surrounding, and it will give you output in the form of a two wired loop power. This device gives you an accurate and reliable reading even in a critical surrounding. and this also comes with the option of alarm relay which can be given to three wired loop power output.


This device is UL Approved. The measurement range is 0 to 300 ppm for an analogue device and 0 to 500 ppm for a Modbus device. The accuracy level you can take it as +- 5ppm or 5% total reading 0-300 ppm. The operating temperature range is from -20 to 50 degrees. and the humidity range is 15% 95%

The life expectancy of the device is 5 to 7 years in the air and the coverage area of 700 m2 or 15 meters of radius.

The carbon monoxide level should not exceed 25 parts per million as per the standard guidelines of any health organization.
The response time is less than 35 seconds.
This device is reverse voltage protected and output limited. you can configure the trip point from 25 ppm to 60 ppm to 125 ppm which can be done with the help of a jumper.

Usually, these devices are installed in areas such as basements, or underground parking or in a medical equipment manufacturing facility.

Little more on to the device, This is the electrochemical sensor which actually senses the presence of carbon monoxide in your surrounding. The gas then passes through this area reaches this enclosed area and this is the unit which converts the carbon monoxide input into 4 mili ampere output, that output can be extracted from this point with the help of two wired loop powered output.

The general power supply can be connected to this point. This is the NO NC point in Modbus connection that can be purchased or can be opted if you are buying an analogue of the relay sensor.
This is the relay tripping area with the high, mid and low point.

All the connection wire has to be taken outlet, this device can be mounted on the wall and it can also be connected to a plc where the output single that is 420 mil ampere can be connected to the PLC. That PLC can help to control the co level in any environment. It can give signals to exhaust fan or cooling units or any other control units of the building.
