There’s this restaurant which serves a set meal that serves a set meal with ghee rice, chicken fry, chicken curry and dal. And trust me their dal is to die for!!!

Call us pseudo-non vegetarian but we are obsessed! Mr Lobo tells me it’s a common preparation and served with ghee rice, even in the weddings. So here’s the recipe!


Ingredients:
1/2 cup masoor dal
1/4 cup moong dal
approx 2 cups water
2 green chillies, slit
2 tomatoes, cube
1 tbsp ghee
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
pinch of hing
2 red chillies
few curry leaves
4 to 5 cloves garlic, roughly mashed
coriander leaves
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp red chilli powder
