Sanjay Manimaran, specializing in the 5,000m, steeplechase, and 10,000m track and field events, entered his debut international half marathon road race at the Danang International Marathon 2024.

Despite aiming for a sub-1:10 finish time, the 22-year-old athlete crossed the finish line with a time of 1:13. However, he didn't just emerge as a champion, his performance marked a triumph against the odds.
