senior montage ( how i'll remember high school )

IMPORTANT: okay i honestly don't know where to start ( or if anyone even reads my descriptions ) but here we go!! i made this video LAST YEAR when i was a graduating senior, but couldn't post it until now. this is by far my favorite video i've ever made, and after watching it alone in my room on repeat for a year, i decided to post it. to be completely honest, i hated high school. i didn't have many close friends in my grade, and faced relentless bullying, harassment, and discrimination from both "teammates" and administration, which ultimately led to being on suicide-watch in a psychiatric hospital. i originally didn't want to post this video because i felt it would be lying. i did not want to post a montage that made high school out to be "the best years of ( my / our ) life", because that simply isn't true. however, with all of that being said, there are absolutely moments and memories from high school that deserve to be remembered. i wanted to make this video and tell my story to help someone, because high school is hard. cheerleading for the football team and performing under the friday night lights is a feeling i'll never forget. being nominated for homecoming queen while in the mental hospital?? i'll never forget it. over the past year, i've been focusing on myself, becoming my own person, and coping with the psychological trauma that i faced before. i'm posting this video now to make peace with a four-year experience that showed me that there is always good and happiness in the world, even at your lowest points. high school taught me how to be kind when others are not, but mostly it made me realize that i am strong, resilient, and that i can. this is how i'll remember high school.
