Downtown Kalamazoo is getting a colorful makeover this weekend as artists from across the region take part in Brush the Block, the city’s mural festival that aims to transform public spaces through art.

Six new murals are being painted across downtown, including locations at Haymarket Plaza, Farmers Alley, the Northside Association for Community Development, and the Stamped Robin.
