This MobLab Support Video illustrates the Blackboard integration and grading.

The steps below will guide you through integrating MobLab with your Blackboard Learning Management System. Before starting this process, it is recommended you contact your Blackboard Administrator. A Blackboard Administrator is needed to add the tool, see Blackboard Administrator Instructions.

If your campus installation of Blackboard looks different from what is presented below, please contact your MobLab rep to discuss the details.

1. Navigate to your desired course and ensure that the Edit Mode is On.
2. Choose the portion of your course where you would like to insert your MobLab Link. (In this example, we have chosen Content.) Select Build Content, and then choose Web Link.
3. Name the Web Link with a title your students will recognize.
4. Use the URL https://game.moblab.com/server/lti
5. Check the checkbox for This Link is to a Tool Provider.
6. Choose Yes for the Web Link Options to open in a New Window.
7. Choose Yes to Permit Users to View this Content and No to Track Number of Views.
8. Be sure to click submit to save your changes.
9. When finished you will see the app added under content. Click the content link to configure your MobLab class.
10. Sign into your MobLab account, or create MobLab account.
11. If you choose to link an existing account, you can create a new class, or choose an existing class.
Please check with a MobLab support member to ensure the class you are linking has the proper code for students

12. MobLab instructor account is pulled up and class is linked.

Grading Options
Participation Explained: By default a participation score is added to your MobLab Gradebook. This is a 0% -100%. For example, if a student has completed 3/5 games and surveys run, the student would have 60% participation score. Continue to add activates to this column and sync with LMS to reflect the most accurate score.

Borda Points Explained: In some cases, i.e. to incentivize game play or offer extra credit, it is helpful to normalize student game scores. The borda points will rank students from highest to lowest based on their scores in the game. Students that are tied earn the highest rate. Ex. If students in the game earn 22, 26, 22, and 20 points, these students will get, 3, 4, 3, and 1 borda points.

Payoff Explained: Payoff is a great measure for accuracy in surveys/quizzes. By default survey questions are worth 10 points. This can be edited per question in the instructor console. Payoff points per game differs. Review how we calculate payoff in the student instructions of each game.

Standard Session Grouping Explained: Standard counts all games within the parameters of of created column.

Unique Activity Names Session Grouping Explained: Games or Surveys with the same name will be counted as one session. Ideal for classes with multiple sections running the same activities.
