Movies suck now. Anyone who disagrees is wrong.
But the cinema being in the toilet is not because you’ve gotten older, or because
your tastes have changed. And it’s definitely not because you’re out of touch!
It’s because the world’s greatest artform has been declining ever since Louis Le
Prince shot the first film over 150 years ago, way back in 1888.
The only thing we need to ask now is whether the decline was steady sudden!
Some say we haven’t even seen how bad things can get.

Pandora may look great, but it doesn’t feel as alien – or real – as Luke Skywalker
staring up at two suns setting over the dunes of Tatooine.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
