Hey everyone, its the third episode of the Purple Five Arc of the series where the next 5 Pokemon in Pokedex order are all purple, one right after the other. This episode has the smallest of the bunch, but that does not mean getting the winning photo is a small task to handle.

Today, we have the flying Shellder of the River course as our stars for this episode. The asking score for Shellder is 3680, a generally decent score though the execution is as crazy as finding a water stone. Its a static Pokemon thankfully so they always appear in the course but that also means we can practice getting the winning photo little by little. So, what's our task this time?

I won't lie, this ones a bit tricky to explain but I'll do my best like I always try to do and explain the set up for this Pokemon.

Firstly, we want to ignore the other Pokemon leading up to where the first Slowpoke is found. The Shellder spawn right at the Shellder sign just where the Slowpoke would stop to fish and there are always 4 of them flying out of the water very quickly. I had been experimenting with how to get up close to them for the best size for the photo, but I'd say the best way would be to lean towards the right hand side where the Vileplume can be found until you are adjacent to the Shellder sign board. As you start to steer to the left from there, the Shellder should appear and as long as your quick with the shutter, you should hopefully get some decent photo.

Ideally, you'd want to get a couple of them in the frame to get the same Pokemon bonus, though as shown on the thumbnail, it is possible to get a winning photo of a single one as long as the size is near perfection. Having the one your focused on facing the camera helps to guarantee the higher pose score and technique is just the usual, as long as its centre-frame.

With all that out of the way, I hope this helps with getting a good photo of Shellder and good luck in your attempts in getting the winning photo.
