Sky Flieger flies !!!!!! 1

This is a radio controlled airplane that I designed in the Fall of 2020, at the height of the covid pandemic. I had extra time on my hands, and I actually took the wing from a previous design of mine, and used it for this plane. The plane is SkyFlieger an obviously German name, because I wanted to honor Germany and it's people. At the age of 9 I spent a year there, as my Dad was on sabbatical leave and taught at a German university in Tubingen. Then, nine years later, at age nineteen, I was called by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to be a missionary in Germany, and I did that for two years. So, this airplane is to honor the great folks I met during those three years, and many of those people are still my friends today. The plane itself, is a three channel control, and features a rather large, 71 inch wingspan. It has no ailerons, only has rudder for turning, but that is all it needs with the rather high amount of dihedral, (that is the V shape of the wing looking at it from the front). It obviously flies great, especially in calm conditions, and easily takes off from grass, with it's great big 5 inch wheels. It was featured as a construction article in the October 2021 issue of Model Aviation magazine. My wife is shooting the video, as I am flying the plane.
