Esmeralda has died from her burns and carbon monoxide poisoning, leaving a gaping hole in Quasimodo's heart and soul. Quasimodo is devastated and breaks down, not wanting to ever leave Esmeralda's side. Unbeknownst to him, Frollo has just entered the room. Frollo may think he has finally succeeded, but realizes that he is still "bleeding", and even worse than ever before. As his sanity deteriorates further and further, Quasimodo notices him standing the room, talking to himself. Quasimodo is now filled with rage and has only one thing on his mind at the moment... revenge.
