The purpose of these videos are to help you gain more ASL vocabulary, concepts, practice phrases and opportunity to emphasize on your "facial expressions"; which seems difficult for many ASL students and learners, along with encouraging your sign fluency. through a TRUE ASL VOICES OFF Immersion experience. However if you are an auditory learner & struggle with voices off, it is voice interpreted for you. To Challenge yourself to "mute" to gain receptive skills. If its too fast, change the speed of the video. Each video brings access to those with low-vision blindness for near sighted blindness. At the end of the video, come back here to the drop down box, scroll down and ensure you had learned the new signs (vocabulary) and phrases!

My name is Melissa and I am a CODA (Children of Deaf Adults) and I am ASLTA Nationally certified teacher. My passion is to teach and share American Sign Language with individuals such as yourself! Especially, To all that have Deaf family members, friends, co-workers, neighbors or just want to learn this amazing, expressive, hands-on language! ASL is my native language. I grew up with Deaf culture & The Deaf world. I have witnessed moments where I have seen the painful disconnect, lack of communication and relationships and wished more would know how to sign and to create more access to Deaf individuals. I have been a Sign Language Interpreter most of my life from childhood into the professional world, have been teaching and tutoring for over 22+years (high school and college levels) as well as heavily involved with the Deaf and ASL community.
