According to the Star Tribune, the popular "small-format" Target at 1300 W Lake St. in uptown Minneapolis will close this month. This Target was developed for urban and college campuses where full-size Targets wouldn't fit. It occupies the first floor of an apartment building and is one-sixth the size of a Target shop.
A Target representative said this decision was reached after years of improving performance. Target's Minneapolis store closure was a difficult decision.
