A full-wave rectifier is an electronic circuit that converts the entire waveform of an AC signal into a pulsating DC signal. Unlike a half-wave rectifier, which only uses one half of the AC cycle, a full-wave rectifier uses both halves, resulting in a higher average output voltage and greater efficiency. There are two main types of full-wave rectifiers: the center-tapped full-wave rectifier and the bridge rectifier.
