The Centre of Excellence at the Barbados Cricket Association will be restructured.

That's the word from Senator and Chairman of the Youth Committee at the BCA Gregory Nicholls.

He was speaking as the Association honoured the national Under-17 and Under-19 teams in the President's Suite of Kensington Oval, for their outstanding performances in 2024.

The Under-17 squad retained the regional two-day title and narrowly missed out on completing the double after rain forced their must-win 50-over match against hosts Trinidad and Tobago to be abandoned.

Meanwhile the Under-19 team captured both the CWI Rising Stars two-day and 50-over championships in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

Mr. Nicholls says the BCA is aiming to provide a high performance environment for all of its cricket teams.

He also outlined the areas that will be targeted.
