Let’s say you’ve been dabbling with using Tarot cards for your writing and you’ve been pulling one card at a time - great!! Looking at one card can help you gain insight, get you out of your own head, and spark ideas but by adding a second (or even third) card, you can take your writing from pretty awesome to freaking amazing!

Look at each card individually - look at the background, foreground, what the character is doing, the colors, etc. Write everything down!
Look at the cards together - determine what’s the same about each card and what’s different. Use your genre or style of writing to inform what you see, what you note and what’s important for YOU
Have fun - add them into a scene, start your action in one card and finish in another, or go crazy and add that 3rd, 4th or even 5th card.
