The Oculus Quest 2 VR headset has landed in South Africa! Check out my Oculus Quest 2 unboxing and first impressions, and I also do a little comparison of the Quest 2 vs Quest 1.

I love my Quest, the original standalone virtual reality headset, and I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to do an unboxing and first impressions video of the Oculus Quest 2. I also go through Quest 2 vs Quest 1 specs.

The setup is super easy, and you get everything you'll need in the box. If you want to play tethered to your PC, you'll need to buy a longer USB-C cable as the one you get in the box is too short for that.

Obviously, the Oculus Quest 2 is an upgrade from the original Quest, with a more compact headset, higher resolution screens, and a faster CPU. Some things do take some getting used to if you did have a Quest 1, like the size of the controllers and how wide apart the buttons are, but it’s a fantastic headset and the quicker load times for games are awesome.
