Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has had a history of high profile claims of abuse, misconduct or use of unconstitutional detention, arrest and/or force. In Florida, law enforcement agencies can call in the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) to investigate itself with more independence. Other agencies have used neighboring prosecutors or law enforcement agencies to avoid the appearance of bias or impropriety. JSO commonly investigates itself.

These are a series of interviews released by JSO about an internal investigation by its Integrity Unit / Internal Investigations Unit into allegations of bias or misconduct within its unit which is tasked to investigate gang activity.
